A proud member of Seine River First Nation, in Treaty #3 territory in northern Ontario, Sandi is internationally recognized as an engaging speaker, a traditional knowledge keeper, and a best-selling author. She began her speaking career in 2009 with the launch of her first book “Honorary Indian”. Four books later, Sandi and her team are now laser-focused on healing both sides of the eagle feather she so often refers to.

With thought-provoking words, she guides, educates, empowers, and encourages people to actively engage in the reconciliation process. Her audiences include First Nation communities, municipalities, hospitals, school boards, universities, colleges, and participants at countless business conferences and seminars.

How it all began

Sandi started her work as a storyteller and inspirational speaker in 2009, after 25 years in the Employment and Training industry.

Now with more than 14 years under her belt, Sandi has travelled across Canada and as far off as Finland, sharing her message of empowerment with all the nations of this amazing world.

But her passion will always be her writing. Sandi’s first book, “Honorary Indian” which tells of her Mother’s teachings through Sandi’s life story, was released in 2010, reaching Best Seller status in 2013.

“Her Mother’s Daughter” followed in 2013, reaching Best Seller status in 2015.

In 2018, she released “The PATH”, a book designed to effectively guide all Canadians to and through reconciliation.

And in 2023, she released “I am Awake” a collection of her much loved blog posts for her adoring fans.
