Book Club - Sandi Boucher

First ... Copper Stone

On November 5, 2025, the Book Club met for the first time.

Julia Gibson, the author of Copper Stone, joined Sandi Boucher to discuss the work they did together to transform “Copper Magic” (Julia’s first book) into “Copper Stone – A Hint of Blood Memory.  Forward written by Sandi Boucher.

The conversation went so well, the authors decided they must do it again!

Honorary Indian Decolonized

On February 5th, 2026 the Book Club will meet again, this time to discuss Sandi’s first book, “Honorary Indian Decolonized”.

Honorary Indian Decolonized …

In 2005, Sandi lost her mother.  It was unexpected and it was overwhelming.  Terrified that she would forget the wisdom she had heard from the day she was born, Sandi frantically started writing, using her own life experiences to illustrate the teachings of the woman she missed so much.

Released in 2010, this best-selling daily motivational guide has assisted men and women from across the globe to heal, to understand, to grow, to maintain their sobriety, to assist a friend.

The book was revised and rereleased in 2025.

And in May 2026 ...

Sandi Boucher’s second best-selling book continues the work started in Honorary Indian, sharing teachings and stories not shared in her first offering.

But more, this book allowed Sandi to correct an old wrong.

You see, when Sandi’s Anishinaabekwe mother realized that Sandi would be fair like her French father, she saw an opportunity, a way to keep her Indigenous daughter safe in a country that was often anything but.  As a result, she would often whisper to her daughter, “Don’t tell people about me, tell them that you are your father’s daughter”.

Sandi Boucher is a proud Anishinaabekwe like the woman who raised her and with this book, she exclaims to the world that she is indeed Her Mother’s Daughter.

Released in 2013.

And in August 2026 ...

Like so many living within Canadian borders, when the national conversation turned to reconciliation, Sandi waited … and waited, hoping that the Federal Government would release an Action Plan, guiding Canadians on how to achieve reconciliation.

We are still waiting.

In frustration, Sandi sat at her computer and wrote out the Action Plan she saw was so desperately needed with a very important difference.

Sandi knew that there were TWO ACTION PLANS that were needed – one that outlined all the work that Indigenous people needed to do to become ready for reconciliation along with one for non-Indigenous Canadians, outlining what they needed to understand and do to move forward.

In 2018, The PATH was released, reaching best-seller status in 2022.

And in November 2026 ...

Sandi’s latest book was a follower request!

Fans of her writing had long followed her on social media, knowing that she released a blog post “from the heart” every weekday morning BUT summer season brought summer travel for many of those followers.  Determined to stay clear of computer screens, they soon realized they missed Sandi’s morning optimism and encouragement.  They requested Sandi collect her blog posts and put them in a book.

Sandi heard their request.

Sandi reviewed THREE YEARS of blog posts, choosing the most popular posts to represent each day of the year in this from the heart book created for those who have encouraged her throughout the years.

Released in 2020 using local suppliers in an attempt to assist with kick-starting the economy, this book is also available on Amazon.ca
