A Variety of Needs

Sandi Boucher has worked with a large variety of entities over her 15+ years in business.  Some have large teams in the thousands. Others were small entities servicing smaller communities.  Some preferred full day intensive training seminars.  Others preferred virtual Lunch and Learn sessions.  Each have their own unique challenges but in every case, Sandi was able to provide clarity, understanding and the solutions they needed!

Colleges & Universities

The Indigenous population is the only population in Canada that is growing and the Indigenous population is YOUNG with most of our people under the age of 30.

With restrictions on foreign students, colleges and universities began to become seriously concerned about their availability.  They need bums in seats and Indigenous students need an education.

But maintaining students or attracting them proved to be a challenge, so they called Sandi.

Hospitals & Clinics

Indigenous lives are often impoverished lives and with poverty comes a wide variety of health challenges.  But hospitals and clinics are challenged when servicing Indigenous patients.  Appointments are not kept.  Many patients are almost non-verbal.  Frustration is high on both sides.

Sandi provides not only understanding of the cultural differences that can make engagement challenging but solutions as well.

Municipalities

Every municipality who has reached out to Sandi faced the same challenge – working with a nearby First Nation community.  Some had a challenging history spanning decades.  All wanted to improve their relationship with their neighbours but miscommunication is common and frustration – a near constant.

Sandi provides understanding and proven solutions that build lasting, respectful relationships.

Small/Medium Size Businesses

Sandi Boucher continues to believe that real change in this country will begin and grow in the hands of small to medium-sized businesses.

Why?  Because business owners determine the culture of their store or office.  They decide how Indigenous customers and partners are treated and time and time again, they chose respect and engagement.

Why?  Because their bottom line matters and serving ALL customers with dignity and respect ensures their viability.  Sandi is passionate in her support of this sector, adding to their knowledge the nuances and understanding they need to succeed with Indigenous individuals and/or communities.

Indigenous Communities

Sandi Boucher is a proud member of Seine River First Nation in Treaty 3 territory in northern Ontario and she has walked the walk.

Sandi is a 10-year domestic abuse survivor.  Sandi has sold furniture to feed her children.  Sandi cannot count how many times alcohol has blown her family apart but she is also a proud, empowered, successful entrepreneur who has run her own business for nearly two decades.

Sandi knows the challenges and she knows her teachings.  Further, she knows what oppression does to a family or community and more importantly, she knows how to overcome it (and the solutions are NOT dependent on what others do!).  For all those reasons, Sandi is on a mission to share her knowledge so that all Indigenous youth, adults, and elders can thrive too!

Balancing the Feather

Sandi continues to “balance the feather” working with the First Nation communities and Canadian entities.

When not spending quality time with her children and grandchildren, Sandi is busy working with the audiences she loves to serve.

Sandi still produces a weekly educational and entertaining video (check out the Vlog on this website to see her latest) and although her next book isn’t done yet, her brand new Onboarding Program is!
