“I’m a racist.”
“I’m a racist against white people.”
“I don’t trust any of them.”
The elder was being honest. He didn’t ask us to understand. He didn’t justify or explain. He just shared his truth with us.
And in that moment, hearing his authenticity, I couldn’t help but think, “Don’t blame him at all”.
So if you did. If you gasped reading the first few lines of this post, don’t type. Don’t comment. Instead, get busy. Get busy learning why he would feel that way so you can understand.
Because we truly, honestly, can’t blame him.
The journey continues …
I love you!
