An Indigenous-Centered Learning Library for All
FREE ACCESS for First Nations Peoples
Although the Learning Library is accessible to all who sign up (especially Canadians wishing to learn through an Indigenous lens), the Library is and always will be free to First Nations peoples living within Canadian borders.
Whether you live in a First Nation community, an urban or rural setting, or you are a First Nation person trying to navigate working in a non-Indigenous work environment, this Learning Library was designed to be a safe place to learn that feels like home.
Everything in the Library is presented in conversational English through an Indigenous lens offering you the opportunity to hang out with Sandi as she shares her trademark humour and wisdom.
To sign up, simply email Sandi at sandi@sandiboucher.com and give her your name, community and your email address. Within 24 hours, you will receive an email asking you to set a password. Once your password is set, you simply come back to this website, click on the “Members Login” button in the menu bar, and you are in.
Stay as long as you want.
Come back often.
This is for you.
Welcome to Sandi's Learning Library ...
For the non-Indigenous reading these words, imagine comfortably walking into an Indigenous-centred space (whether it is a First Nation community, an Indigenous non-profit, or into a meeting with Indigenous representatives) with no fear of saying or doing the wrong thing.
For the Indigenous person reading these words, imagine a learning portal that just feels like home.
THAT is what you will experience within Sandi’s Learning Library.
This is a rare never-before-offered training opportunity created and presented through Indigenous eyes.
A Safe Space for Learning
When Sandi Boucher created her Learning Library she envisioned people from different backgrounds and locations sitting in unity at a sacred fire.
There they would hear the teachings, shared within a variety of offerings. The stories would be numerous with the ability to stir hearts. The “courses” would be free form, allowing participants to pick and choose the order in which they consumed the information. More, they could visit and revisit the offerings as often as they needed to feel supported, in the same way we visit our elders whenever their comfort and guidance is needed, no matter how often.
The Learning Library was Sandi ‘s vision as she imaged herself sitting with you and your team, in her ribbon skirt, sharing supportive, encouraging words along with the information you need.
Now imagine what YOUR team could achieve with that kind of guided support!
