“Non-Indigenous ask us all the time, ‘If it is so bad in the communities, why do you keep going back?'”
“The answer is simple – it’s home. There we do not need to explain why we see things the way we do or why certain things hurt us more than other. There we are surrounded by people who get it. But Indigenous-centred spaces are SO incredibly rare outside of our communities. So I wanted to create one, here, online. A space where Indigenous felt comfortable and non-Indigenous could learn without the power to hurt us, even unintentionally.”

When Sandi Boucher created the “Through Indigenous Eyes Membership Program” she envisioned people from different backgrounds and locations sitting in unity at a sacred fire.
There they would hear the teachings, shared within a variety of offerings. The stories would be numerous with the ability to stir hearts. The “courses” would be free form, allowing participants to pick and choose the order in which they consumed the information. More, they could visit and revisit the offerings as often as they needed to feel supported, in the same way we visit our elders whenever their comfort and guidance is needed, no matter how often.
The TIE program was Sandi ‘s vision as she imaged herself sitting with you and your team, in her ribbon skirt, sharing supportive, encouraging words along with the information you need.
