Morning Thoughts Racing

I am awake, I am alive and this morning, so many things are racing through my head …

My first thoughts were of just how many things make me happy:

-The excitement in the words and face of my granddaughter when I walk in.
– Hugs and kisses from my grandson, because he is very choosy about who he gives them to.
– How proud I am of the two humans known as my adult children.
– How much I love my Shangri La.

Then I thought of how I live my life, which can be summed up in two words – my way.

– I don’t do anything because someone else thinks I should (unless I agree).
– I don’t fit into stereotypes or labels (and hate both those things).
– I write, speak, dance, sing when my heart/spirit says I should.
– I forgive, simply because the baggage is too dang heavy when I don’t.

And that lead to me thinking of the things I don’t like:

– Less than authentic people.
– Two-faced people/people with hidden agendas.
– People lying to themselves and therefore, in turn, lying to me.
– Passive/aggressive behavior.
– Loved ones hurting themselves.

Which brought me to thoughts of awakenings, those moments in time when:

– The child understands.
– An adult mind grasps a new concept.
– Another human finally understands your pain.
– A youth sees their potential for the first time.
– A man or woman realizes, truly realizes, their value.
– Someone authentically apologizes and changes their behaviour.

In short, I am happy. I am living my life my way. I choose carefully those I share my air with, and I LIVE FOR THE AWAKENINGS, yet another source of joy that I enjoy almost daily.

So, here’s to building bridges of understanding long before we build them into our communities, homes, lives, or beds. Here’s to honest sharing of motives and truths and desires, so that those who feel same can find us and walk with us. Here’s to being who YOU are because it creates space for others to wear their authenticity too, and not just on special occasions.

Perfect, absolutely perfect.

I love you!
HUGSSSSSSSS
